Timothy J. Fetterly
Tim followed his family’s tradition when he elected to pursue law as a career. His first ten years as a lawyer were spent in a small fire and explosion litigation firm with a national practice. During that time, Tim worked on major fire/explosion litigation throughout the country, including industrial manufacturing fires, warehouse fires, church fires, hotel fires, agricultural fires, mill explosions and single and multifamily dwelling fires and explosions. Tim enjoys developing a case from the incident forward and is familiar with and has worked with some the best origin and cause experts, electric engineering experts, metallurgists, material scientists and fire protection engineers in the nation. Since joining McCollum, Tim has continued to focus his practice on fire/explosion litigation and has expanded his practice to include a wide variety of tort and contract litigation claims including construction, vaccine, and commercial transportation. Tim enjoys the challenge of creating “out-of-the-box” solutions for his clients.
When not practicing law, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, and friends. He loves the outdoors, particularly biking in and around the Twin Cities. Tim is also an avid traveler and he has trekked in Nepal, Peru and northern Spain, fly-fished for Atlantic salmon in the Scottish Highlands, and experienced the good food of Provence. As soon as one trip is over, Tim is often researching for the next adventure.
