Brett R. Parnes
to our Workers' Compensation team.

Working out of our Denver office, Brett will continue in his practice focusing on workers compensation defense. Brett has developed a keen sense of the business needs of his clients when faced with claims arising out of work place injuries based on his many years of practice in this highly specialized area of the law. We are so pleased that Brett will be heading up this section of the firm located in Colorado

Minnesota law helps charities limit their exposure to clawbacks

MINNEAPOLIS (Star Tribune) –Over the years, a very generous and well-known businessman showered Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities with money, more than $200,000 in all. For BBBS, which like most nonprofits struggled to keep its programs funded, it was welcome relief.

Unfortunately, the money didn't belong to the businessman, Tom Petters, who was eventually convicted of running one of the nation's largest Ponzi schemes.
