McCollum Crowley Attorneys Honored With Defense Lawyer Association Amicus Award for Second Straight Year

The Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association has honored McCollum Crowley attorneys with its prestigious Amicus Award in each of the last two years.

Robert McCollum was presented the Award in 2015 for the amicus brief in Staab v. Diocese of St. Cloud, 853 N.W.2d 713 (Minn. 2014), a landmark decision on joint and several liability. Cheryl Hood Langel has now been recognized with the Award for her amicus brief in Melillo v. Heitland, N.W.2d, 2016 WL 3474407 (Minn. Jun. 22, 2016), clarifying requirements for proper service of a summons and complaint. In each instance, the amicus briefs supported decisions of the Minnesota Supreme Court favorable to the defense.
