Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals Affirms Compensation Judge’s Finding in Favor of McCollum Crowley’s Client

The Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals recently affirmed a compensation judge’s finding that an employee did not sustain a work-related right shoulder injury in favor of McCollum Crowley’s client. The litigation arose after an employee allegedly sustained a right shoulder injury while employed as a bus driver.

On appeal, attorneys Bill Laak and Lauren Harvey argued because substantial evidence supported the compensation judge’s finding, there was no basis to overturn her conclusion. The Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals agreed and held that substantial evidence supported the compensation judge’s finding. Emmitt Trotter v. Metro Transit and Metropolitan Council S/I, WC17-6043, July 31, 2017.
