William G. Laak
Bill has been practicing in Minnesota workers’ compensation defense exclusively since 1992. Prior to that, he attended William Mitchell College of Law at night, and worked as a workers’ compensation claim representative, where he gained valuable experience and insight by working the position held by many of the wonderful people he represents today.
Bill believes that excellent customer service is the key to building long-lasting relationships with his clients. He’s quoted as saying, “People depend on us to provide quality legal service, which is a whole lot more than just knowing the law (which also helps).”
Becky, Bill’s wife, has supported his career by taking excellent care of their son, Jordan, and daughter, Piper. When not spending time with his family—including their puggle, Buddy—Bill enjoys working, spending time with friends, golfing, and taking in an occasional horse race.
Bill’s favorite part of being a lawyer—other than the daily (and nightly) interaction with his wonderful clients—is the funny look people get on their face when they ask, “So, what do you do for a living?”
